A NEW skate park has opened at the wonderful Errington Reserve. It’s a super-dooper addition to the already fantastic play haven. Surrounded by an oval, the skate park joins a circle with a fenced playground, free tennis and basketball courts, BBQ area and community centre. It’s an amazing destination if you have a kid that just doesn’t stop and needs some variety to get worn out.
Banchory Green Reserve in Hillside has had an upgrade and Mamma LOVES it!
Mamma was so impressed with the new Nature Play Space in the Melton Botanic Gardens - you definitely need to check it out!
Mamma’s favourite part of the park was the cute scavenger hunt - your little ones can try and find 9 animal plaques featuring birds, insects and frogs hiding around the playground! So much fun!
Mamma’s little one (3 years old) was obsessed with the little treehouse and sand area with a digger and water play. Other areas for the little ones include musical chimes, an orbit carousel and a basket swing.
Conquest Drive in Werribee has had an overhaul and Mamma thinks you should add it to your list to of parks to check out!
There is a new playground at AJ Davis Reserve in Airport West and it’s a really unique and fun playground with lots of natural play elements set over multi levels (it’s on a hillside)!
We all know your kids love a Ninja warrior course… guess what folks, this park has one! Let your little ones push themselves to their limits with all the swinging and climbing that their hearts desire!

Brimbank Council have unveiled a new pocket playground in Cary St Sunshine North, and Mamma thinks it’s just great! No playground cookie cutter happening here - a unique wooden climbing structure with netting and slide suits preschool aged children perfectly.
The new playground is made up of a see-saw, toddler scrambling area, a basket swing, and two cute ‘Clubhouse’ looking large towers - one for the little ones and one for the older kids.
The kids will quickly pick up the theme here - soldiers, horses and a huge playground with the Eureka flag perched at the top! Adventure is the name of the game here.
Recently upgraded - Frank Gibson Park in Laverton boasts a cute ‘bug’ theme - with an accessible ladybug whirl, rope climbing frame, caterpillar slide, toddler rockers and a new swing set.

Mamma loves this little playground (that used to be known as Skinny Park) on Bellair Street, wedged tightly between the road and the railway and the use of space is excellent - proving you don't need heaps of room for play - just clever design!
Alma Avenue Reserve is the CUTEST play space, it has just had an upgrade and we absolutely love it!
Good things come in small packages - and Alma Avenue is no exception. This playground might not seem huge at first glance, but my goodness it’s jam packed with fun.
Your minis will have a blast pushing themselves around the wooden spinner, racing down the flying fox, playing on the basket or standard swing set, speeding down the slides (there’s a mini version for the little kiddos and an enclosed slide for the older ones), and making their way across the rope obstacle course and rock climbing walls. Welcome to Riverwalk’s Water Park in Werribee! Splish splash heaven! Pack your togs and take a towel or two folks it's going to get wet. Actually take some lunch too - this place is such 'cool' fun you'll want to stay.
Expect to find water soaker canons, a spray tunnel, water play equipment, surprise sprinklers, spouts and fountains.
Water play is GO! Crocodile Park in Point Cook is built in and around man-made lakes, decking and boardwalks. It feels like a classy resort beach side fun park and certainly a space you and the kids will want to spend plenty of time.

Woohoo there’s a pop up pump track at Montgomery Park designed for bikes, scooters and skateboards. It’s a great size and compliments the huge slide and small playground already existing at this vast green space.
You could be forgiven for thinking you drove to Werribee but somehow landed in New York when you arrive at this awesome skate park - fit for little tykes and adults because it uniquely caters for beginners and pros.
You can’t beat a beautiful wooden playground. The Lorne Beach Playground is a nautical themed play space with the main structure mimicking a pier.
In the beautiful town of Gisborne, this extensive Adventure Playground can be found. There is a large diversity of play equipment in the main area, and an enclosed playground for the little ones as well!
This play space is quieter and surrounded by lovely trees. As the name implies, this is a playground inspired by nature, with lots of sensory experiences to be had.
The eagerly anticipated nature playground has finally landed ‘On Country’, here at Pipemakers Park, and Mamma and the kiddies couldn’t be happier!
‘Gold Rush’ themed Long Gully Splash Park is super cute - relatively small but has everything you could need! And the treated water is solar heated!
This place is about as wonderful as wonderful playgrounds can possibly get!
Well, here my friends, is a top notch playground! This stunning new play space is chock full of fun!
This playground has been designed in such a way to invite creative and mindful play, and to utilise those gross motor skills, meaning your kids will be totally WORN OUT! And while the kids are off making up obstacle courses, you can relax. Mamma rarely comes across a playground this tranquil.
The new Junior Bike Skills Track at Hansen Reserve will have your little ones levelling up bike and scooter skills in no time! Let them ride over bumps and humps, sweep around corners and then build up speed to follow the track past the footy oval and down into the playground, for an action packed day out!
Wyndham Park is an amazing playground. This is more than a park! It’s a precinct of FUN!

Kingston Park - Ocean Grove! Wow. Wow. Wow. What a fantastic park. Mamma and the kids spent some time here and they have given this a 10 out of 10.
Green Gully Reserve is a real treat. The whole area is very spacious with plenty of room for picnics, ball games and to just generally spread your wings!
There is a fun area for the kids to hang and climb, plus a great little track around the outside of the park and grassy areas, which is perfect for scooters and bikes. So while the kiddies are off doing that, YOU can have a play on all the workout equipment.
Expect to spend a bit of time here as there is heaps to do and as an added bonus the park is directly under the flight path to the airport so we spotted heaps of real life planes coming in to land!
A little slice of playground heaven, this one is well worth the trip! There is a full size soccer field, and plenty of other grassy spots to kick a ball, as well as 2 tennis courts, a basketball half court, skate park and climbing wall!
Mamma just loves a playground with a scooter run! The track has steep enough spots to satisfy older kids on bikes but is safe enough for little ones on scooters.

There is LOTS to investigate at this brand new playground - start by climbing the slide tower and zoom down the slide (it’s fast!), run around to the sand pit and get digging, then head up to the water feature and get the water to roll down through the creek bed.

What a gorgeous playground! Firstly, its HUGE, and has so many zones, that kids of all ages will love it here.
Smack bang in the middle of a huge new sporting complex with two sporting fields, six tennis courts, enclosed cricket nets this playground is sure to get a lot of use!

What a great park! This fantastic playground in Deer Park was built back in 2011 but was way ahead of its time in terms of the 'volcano' theme and great equipment.
Arrgh, let it be known that Mamma LOVES a pirate shipped themed park - and this is surely one of the best. This playground has been hidden in Coogoorah Park for quite a long time now but it really is timeless AND is named after a 1902 local shipwreck. Very cool.

Little Green playground is a quiet neighbourhood park in a new estate
Haven Park is a brand new park in the new estate of Haven in Tarneit. It is fresh and clean with lots of lush well established green grass for picnicking, cartwheels or lounging in the sun.
Mamma says bring your bucket and spade to this one!
As soon as you see the lovely blue and yellow shade sails over the playground you know you are in for a treat.
Poppy Kettle park has the most stupendous view along the waterfront in Geelong plus puff the magic dragon and of course that awesome slide and climbing tower.
With current must haves in parks - flying fox, net swing and lovely gardens to explore, it also has our old favourites - swings, slides, climbing ropes and basketball ring.
The feature 'playscape' area is excellent - with swings, a giant pea pod, cow park bench, an alphabet maze, a HUGE platypus and so so much more! Look closely and you will find all kinds of treasures scattered throughout the space.

It is a very popular spot for locals who know of this hidden gem and Mamma's kids absolutely love it - we often get requests to go to ‘traffic park!’ This park is more suited to pre-schoolers or up to six years old and only really for small bikes, scooters, trikes, balance bikes or similar.
To Melton - and beyond! Shoot for stars and then take a super slide back down to planet earth.....then do it all over again! What a great park for the little explorers in our lives.
What a great play space! There is something about this adventure style park and playground, we ALWAYS stay longer than intended as it is just so intricate and unique! The kids can be the 'kings and queens of the castle' as it is literally a big wooden castle complete with turrets, slides, ramps, stairs, hidey holes, sandpit, swings and much more.
This gorgeous park is seriously fit for...well a Queen! With a cafe and two playgrounds, huge shady trees, grassed areas and of course the Queens Park Lake - this is not just a place you can just pop to for a short play.

With a creek running through its heart, a great pirate ship playground at the north west corner, picturesque walking tracks, circuit training stations, a BMX track and free tennis courts at the south end, Cruickshank Park has something for everyone
This play space has a good blend of modern play equipment and nature based elements to it. Say hello to the large stripy snake near the sandpit, it is a very nice draw card to the park, kiddos can climb onto his back, give him a hug or jump off the tail!

A bright and colourful park to add to the estate here in Woodlea! Making it a total of FOUR pretty amazing adventures to be had in this neck of the woods.

The Coronet park playground has a big grassy space, bbq's and next to a kid friendly cafe with an indoor kids corner - with a hall available for hire for parties! This is a wonderful playground to visit.
Mamma says this is just a great park in the west, you might say it's a family favourtie for locals and those who make parks and playgrounds their destination!
This playground gets TWO thumbs up by Mamma and the road testing kiddos. Mamma's fav has to be the flying fox of course, while the kids just love that slide.
This is a really great park - it's just a bit different, with a creative use of space and the location makes it even more interesting. Built in the shadow of the Bolte Bridge it has water play features, excellent sand play and some fab sliding action.
Don't expect a huge array of equipment here - there is one lovely wooden structure with climbing webs and ropes, a mammoth slide and swings but it's unique, a little quirky and overlooks a lovely tree filled valley, making it a nice spot to relax whilst the kids play.
This park is a fav for both big and little kids with a smaller bowl skate/scooter section.
What a bonus this little spot is. Set back from Werribee South Boat ramp, you can spot pelicans, collect shells, make sand castles, chat to the local fisherman and of course have a play on Freddie the green sea dragon!
Are you and the family looking for a new adventure? The Big Red Dragon is a novelty and with ample swings and great surroundings, it makes for a nice family outing. Mamma says the native birds, geese and wildlife across the way were a lovely surprise too.
Stroll around the corner from Yarraville Village and enjoy this bright and inviting little spot. It's always buzzing with people, with plenty of climbing, swinging and sliding options to keep your kiddos entertained.

Harris Reserve in Seddon is always busy with friendly locals so if you're in need of some Big People conversation while your Little People explore, Mamma says this is a great option.

Well, this is a cool little spot to venture to. Making use of the space under the Hopkins Bridge in Footscray - this FREE bouldering wall is a bit of fun for big people and the little ones!
Mamma says a visit to Sovereign Hill is now even more amazing with the opening of the $1.7 million Play Space!
Well, suffice to say Mamma has never really seen a play space like this one! Consisting of a bright orange 80-100 metre long climbing frame behemoth - this is certainly one for the climbers and budding ‘ninja warrior’ in the family!
Look, we have said this many a time and we will say it again - playgrounds next to a place where you can get coffee or even sit down and have a meal are just well, Mamma heaven!

This park in Williamstown is beautiful. Plain and simple there really is no other word to describe this quaint playground in a prime location. Slides, swings, sailboat, swans, sea and serenity. Walking along The Strand is the perfect way to watch the day take shape over Melbourne whilst the kids play. Beautiful.
