ron barassi snr park, docklands
/This is a really great park - it's just a bit different, with a creative use of space and the location makes it even more interesting. Built almost under the Bolte Bridge there is a water play area so a towel and even a change of clothes is recommended plus there is heaps of sand with accompanying 'sand play' equipment including chains and pulleys, spades, tubes and a digger. There are big slides, a little slide, a great tyre swing, rope bridges and all sorts of spots to clamber and climb including the large wooden structure in the middle! A few stand out features that Mamma's crew enjoy most (other than the water play) is the sand bag wall, good for little people to run and jump on and comfy for big people to sit on and watch the kids plus we love the lovely expanse of squashy green grass complete with footy and soccer goals! oh and the views of the city and the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel are pretty cool too.
Mamma's special mentions: You are not far from The District Docklands, head there for some adventure and shopping!
