Now, this is not a new playground, but boy oh boy, it is such a gem.

Beautiful gums tower overhead and the grassy hill rolls down towards the Maribyrnong River. It’s really picturesque and very peaceful. There are plenty of park benches for a picnic including a couple undercover with BBQ facilities.

And then there’s the playground! Spacious and engaging, the play equipment includes all the faves like swings, nest swing, classic flying fox, monkey bars, slides and climbing frame as well as an ENORMOUS rope pyramid - who dares to reach the top?!?

Pooches can run offleash in the open grass adjacent to the playground and there is a drinking fountain and doggy fountain for the fam and fur fam to rehydrate!

From here, you can join the Maribyrnong River trail so if you wanted to bring the bikes, you could make a half day outing from here and enjoy the best of the West.
