pirates tavern, williamstown
/The fact that a place like this exists in the world means the world is a truly great place. The Pirates Tavern is the clubroom of the Williamstown Maritime Association and sits hidden away in Seaworks overlooking the water.
They even serve food here on Friday nights and Sunday lunch now!
And as the name suggests it is a tavern full of maritime and pirate paraphernalia. It has character and realness - in a world full of refurbished pubs this is one that has stood its ground (thank goodness) and stayed true.
The place even welcomes non pirates though - and kids. All are welcome here. There is great live music on Fridays and Sundays - and now they are serving food too. With the galley serving up options like Blackbeards Burger, Mermaids Catch Fish N Chips, Sailors Sandwich..you get the drift…oh and a kids menu!
This really is a treasure of the west. So grab your crew and sail in for some pirate style grub!
