Bar Thyme is unlike anything else in Footscray right now. It’s fine bistro food and superb drinks, made approachable.
Bar Thyme is like visiting an old friend… there’s a record playing smooth sounds and a relaxed atmosphere conducive for great conversation. Head chef Tommy Hope has worked at some of Melbourne’s most prestigious restaurants (including Attica), here he has thoughtfully curated a divine menu made to share that bestows sophisticated flavour, texture and diversity with every dish.
Accompanying the delectable food, a polished wine list features organic and natural bottles which the staff certainly know their way around, happy to impart knowledge and provide tastings. Their sultry cocktails feature house-made liqueurs as well as classic but underappreciated varietals like sherry and vermouth. We are so pleased to have this treasure in the West.
