forest glade gardens, mount macedon

This has to be our favourite garden to visit - we have been so many times and seen it in all the seasons. It’s magical at any time of year.

The 14 acre gardens are absolutely stunning with new things to see at every turn. So many statues, fountains, bridges, amazing greenery, two aviaries and also an oriental garden, topiary garden, fern gully AND maple forest!  The colours in Autumn are glorious and spring is a sea of bright pinks and reds and yellow. In November the Laburnum arch explodes with bright yellow cascading flowers. It is incredible. There are lots of stairs, and fern gully and the maple walk are quite a way down the stone pathways so keep this in mind for the little ones.
