Mamma went to the PLACE for PACE and got her BACKSIDE TRACKSIDE! Chances are you grew up hearing the Avalon Raceway radio ads but never really knew what it was about…well, Mamma has now been a couple of times and can safely say - it’s definitely a different experience!
Avalon Raceway is a dirt racing track which opened in 1976, where you can watch the sprint cars (among others) FLY around what seems a pretty small track considering how fast they go. Bring your fold out chairs, some snacks and drinks, and your goggles (bits of dirt flies off the track) and some ear muffs for the little ones, and plonk yourself on the grassy hill to observe the amazing feats of these cars that feel like they defy the laws of physics!
Mamma says you WILL get dirt splattered over you, you WILL see a spectacular crash, and you WILL also have some laughs. It’s all part of the fun!

Outdoors - food - loud (bring earplugs) - plenty of parking - toilets - kid friendly - usually goes for over 3 hours but come and go as you please - bring chairs/picnic rug
