the best parks and playgrounds in moonee valley
/ Mamma SammiThere are plenty of parks and playground fun in the Moonee Valley and surrounding areas!
Check out some of Mamma’s faves!
Mamma’s favourite part of the park was the cute scavenger hunt - your little ones can try and find 9 animal plaques featuring birds, insects and frogs hiding around the playground! So much fun!
Mamma’s little one (3 years old) was obsessed with the little treehouse and sand area with a digger and water play. Other areas for the little ones include musical chimes, an orbit carousel and a basket swing.
Conquest Drive in Werribee has had an overhaul and Mamma thinks you should add it to your list to of parks to check out!
There is a new playground at AJ Davis Reserve in Airport West and it’s a really unique and fun playground with lots of natural play elements set over multi levels (it’s on a hillside)!
Look, we have said this many a time and we will say it again - playgrounds next to a place where you can get coffee or even sit down and have a meal are just well, Mamma heaven!
Flying fox - yes, great swings - yes! Oh and we should mention the lovely river views, the huge shady trees and lots of open space!
Mamma says - both little ones and bigger kiddos will love exploring the 'life sized' wooden pirate ship at Riverside Park. The attention to detail on the Black Sapphire Ship is very cool.
The Coronet park playground has a big grassy space, bbq's and next to a kid friendly cafe with an indoor kids corner - with a hall available for hire for parties! This is a wonderful playground to visit.
If you are looking for gold - then this is the playground to start digging - This Pirate themed park is fantastic.
There is something about this adventure style park and playground, we ALWAYS stay longer than intended as it is just so intricate and unique! The kids can be the 'kings and queens of the castle' as it is literally a big wooden castle complete with turrets, slides, ramps, stairs, hidey holes, sandpit, swings and much more.
This gorgeous park is seriously fit for...well a Queen! With a cafe and two playgrounds, huge shady trees, grassed areas and of course the Queens Park Lake - this is not just a place you can just pop to for a short play.
