Check out some of Mamma’s faves!
So back in the olden days the Point Cook Homestead was a part of the Chirnside family (of Werribee Mansion fame) property portfolio. It was built around 1857 and includes the main homestead and some stables and out buildings. Since the Chinsides, it has been passed down to a few owners but now is managed by Parks Victoria.
Hidden away down the end of Point Cook Road is a quiet spot for picnic and play!
The Point Cook Coastal Park has had some new additions recently of BBQ’s and shelters, plus a small playground and toilets!
As the weather warms up and the beaches in the West fill up - it’s good to have some other spots to go to. It was our first visit to Campbells Cove since the mandatory clothing rule was put into place on September 1......and we found it to be quite a treasure.
It’s a SUMMER JACKPOT - Lough Way Lakeside Playground in Manor Lakes is not just a playground, it’s fantastic water play too!!
You could be forgiven for thinking you drove to Werribee but somehow landed in New York when you arrive at this awesome skate park - fit for little tykes and adults because it uniquely caters for beginners and pros.
This play space is quieter and surrounded by lovely trees. As the name implies, this is a playground inspired by nature, with lots of sensory experiences to be had.
Wyndham Park is an amazing playground. This is more than a park! It’s a precinct of FUN!
This park is nestled alongside the wetlands, tucked behind the Alamanda Cafe and is perfect for a quiet play after you've had a bite to eat or they have BBQ's and shelter here as well as the BIGGEST picnic table Mamma has ever seen. So why not bring a picnic and check out this hidden spot.
Located at the Werribee Zoo - this is an excellent outdoor play area with slide, tunnels, wooden planks and stepping stones, turrets, trees, a large nest swing and more.
Mamma LOVES a good family picnic spot and The Victorian State Rose garden is up there with the best in Melbourne.
The tower was opened about 20 years ago and was actually an arts project, and is dubbed a monument for ‘Migration and Aspirations’- Mamma has to say - it’s a lovely tower! You can see all around the wetlands from this vantage point and have a great view of the city as well.
Visit Wyndham Harbour this Sunday (Sep 25th) from 11am to 4pm for Free Family Fun Day! Live music, Water Sports, Movie Screenings, Food Trucks and lots more!
Welcome to Riverwalk’s Water Park in Werribee! Splish splash heaven! Pack your togs and take a towel or two folks it's going to get wet. Actually take some lunch too - this place is such 'cool' fun you'll want to stay.

Water play is GO! Crocodile Park in Point Cook is built in and around man-made lakes, decking and boardwalks. It feels like a classy resort beach side fun park and certainly a space you and the kids will want to spend plenty of time.

There is LOTS to investigate at this brand new playground - start by climbing the slide tower and zoom down the slide (it’s fast!), run around to the sand pit and get digging, then head up to the water feature and get the water to roll down through the creek bed.
You certainly can’t go past this playground without spotting this huge slide structure! There is lots more to offer at this playground too.
Bounce bounce bounce! Everybody BOUNCE! Yes, that includes you too grown ups! Yes! It is bigger and it is better - Newhaven's Jumping Pillow has had an upgrade and we love it! This free fun is open to everyone.
Complete with a WATER ZONE with water-squirting elephant, look-out tower with slides and rope climbers, basketball half-court, BBQ and picnic pavilion, an area for skateboards/scooters, swings and a spinning roundabout, oval with football goals, mini trampolines
The park feels a bit retro thanks to lots of timber and steel, the wooden tractors, and lovely greenery and trees. There are swings and balance beams and some climbing nets too. Cook up some snags on the undercover BBQ’s and have a game of kick to kick on the oval!
Well, suffice to say Mamma has never really seen a play space like this one! Consisting of a bright orange 80-100 metre long climbing frame behemoth - this is certainly one for the climbers and budding ‘ninja warrior’ in the family!
Smack bang in the middle of a huge new sporting complex with two sporting fields, six tennis courts, enclosed cricket nets this playground is sure to get a lot of use!

It is a very popular spot for locals who know of this hidden gem and Mamma's kids absolutely love it - we often get requests to go to ‘traffic park!’ This park is more suited to pre-schoolers or up to six years old and only really for small bikes, scooters, trikes, balance bikes or similar.
Werribee has sure brought out the 'big guns' with this adventure playground. This wonderful space is just what you need to be inspired to get in some outdoor playtime, even on those chillier Melbourne days.
What a bonus this little spot is. Set back from Werribee South Boat ramp, you can spot pelicans, collect shells, make sand castles, chat to the local fisherman and of course have a play on Freddie the green sea dragon!
Inspired by the nearby RAAF base this aviation themed playground is one cool park. Nestled in the quiet suburb of Williams Landing you can't miss the humongous 'control tower' taking centre stage here - on sight kids excitement levels will leap into hyper drive!
