a day at the district docklands

A DAY at TDD? To be honest you need multiple days to enjoy all the fun at The District Docklands!

We often come here for fun, but let Mamma tell you what we did on our latest visit. You may get some inspiration for your spring school holiday adventures!

First up, we visited Dreamskape - wow. Dreamskape is dubbed a ‘multi sensory entertainment hub’. Let Mamma explain - there are basically 6 sections to experience, the Dream Coaster which takes you on a ride through a magical land of lollies and toys and colour, complete with real bubbles that makes this experience actually 4D! Then head to the next room Dream Verse- we saw another roller coaster style experience that takes you through stunning ancient lands - Vietnam, Cambodia, Egypt and then back in time to see dinosaurs (watch out in case they step on the track!). Then there are the games rooms where you get to play time trial games with lights and colour, THEN there is the magical jellyfish light room (this is really beautiful). There’s also a separate room, the Little Dream room, with ball pit and video games. The experience has something for ages above 3, and you can choose whether to do parts or everything.

Next up we grabbed a quick lunch to eat on the picnic tables, and mixed it up with some KFC and sushi from Hana Sushi, there are heaps of options here for take away and an abundance of sit down options like Dohtonbori, Seoul Garden, Krabbys, or Miss Pings.

No rest for the wicked though! So on to the next adventure. Just near here is Imaginator - yes it’s BACK! This space is so cool, and again for all ages - from babies really. It’s an immersive play space with lights, sounds, calm spaces to the drop jump - you can create your own experience really.

Next we just HAD to experience the Upside Down House after all that! Enter this mind bending space to get the best upside down images. The friendly staff will help you get that perfect shot too. What is up what is down, what is real - Mamma doesn’t know anymore!

Of course, we couldn’t leave without a sweet treat so popped into Froyolicious to load up on deliciousness, and debrief the day. How good are those popping boba balls, my goodness!

So as we have shared with you so many times before - this is just a snippet of the fun here. Need some more inspiration?
