The Williamstown Seaport Festival will be held along the Williamstown foreshore next February 27 to March 4. Mamma says this is a fantastic event for the area and we can’t wait!

The spectacular arrival of the three Tall Ships; James Craig, Enterprize and Young Endeavour, into Williamstown in full sails, will signal the start of the festival. The lead ship, James Craig, was built in 1874 and is one of only four remaining working 19th Century sailing ships in the world and the only one in the Southern Hemisphere. Plus, this will be a rare opportunity to go on board and discover how to hoist the 21 sails.

Visitors will be able to discover more of Williamstown’s Waterfront, not always open to the public, including sailing lessons at Australia’s oldest yacht club, check out the Sea Shepherd – Steve Irwin, Seaworks, the historic docks, and the boat builders.

Festivities will continue in Williamstown’s Village with a seafood festival, a market, boat show, family entertainment and waterfront bars and restaurants.

It sounds like a fantastic 4 days of waterfront family fun! We are looking forward to this one!
