Living Future Expo
/On June 2, Maribyrnong City Council will be hosting its first-ever Living Future Expo, an event aimed to inspire and inform us on how to live more sustainably.
There will be workshops, talks, and demonstrations to give US the tools to get inspired and make those changes for better self sufficiency - and a better planet!
With a focus on the climate emergency, eco-conscious living and innovation, the Expo will showcase a range of Council initiatives, e-vehicles, community exhibits, and interactive experiences designed to educate and motivate.
Highlights of the day will include:
Very Edible Gardens showing us how to identify edible weeds and make the most of their medicinal properties
Bike n Blend with free smoothies for the first 400 visitors
E-bike test rides thanks to Rilu- E-Bikes and Melbourne Powered
An electric garbage truck demo thanks to Cleanaway
Tim Forcey discussing his new book My Efficient Electric Home Handbook
David Spratt from Safe Climate Australia with his eye-opening presentation on the Climate Emergency
The Good Car Company with a range of electric vehicles to trail ride
Footscray’s own DIY HI FI Solar Sound System
The Community Bike Hub will have a huge range of serviced 2nd hand bikes for sale.
The Riff Raff Radical Marching Band will entertain with their swinging tunes of love and rage.
The Indirect Object will run two sessions of their This is Not a Box Workshop
