How does pizza and drinks on the Waterfront at Wyndham Harbour sound? With water views, the bay breeze AND city views - all from Melbourne's West! Sounds pretty perfect to Mamma! It is bright and fresh and still has plenty of outdoor seating under umbrellas, and a fire pit. The food is DELICIOUS with even more offerings, this pizza, steak, pasta and of course kids menu!
Jackpot! Mamma feels like this is the foodie heaven she has been looking for! With fantastic food, a little fenced in outdoor play area, early opening hours, lovely coffee and great service too! What’s not to love about Eating Station in Ravenhall! The kids will love the outdoor area complete with slide - all visible from the back part of the dining area inside or you can choose to eat outside too.
Mamma’s found a new brewery taproom in Geelong and thinks you and your family need to check it out! Mt Pleasant Road Taproom located in the heart of Belmont is a great vibe, especially for lovers of good quality craft beer. Mamma really enjoys sitting outside under an umbrella with a drink in hand basking in the sun, while her little one runs around and plays with the outdoor games.
The Station Hotel in Footscray is such an incredible family friendly pub in Melbourne's West. Not only is the food EXCELLENT, the space is too - warm and comforting inside with dining area and bar area, but outside is a huge space complete with a NEW playground! PLUS kids eat free on Tuesday and Wednesdays, and they have a petting zoo each Sunday!
Leroy’s is arguably one of the most popular cafes in Melbourne’s West - with amazing food, indoor and outdoor seating and the play area out the back it ticks ALL the boxes for families - and Westies in general! The staff are always friendly at this Newport cafe - the menu is amazing, and you know you will leave full and happy!

Mamma and the kiddos loves the food here - it is always damn delicious and the super relaxed vibe and big kid play area makes this a must-go for families wanting a great feast (incredible value too.)
Mamma has been coming to Est. 1906 in Seddon since 2015 and it continues to be a fave especially with the little ones! The cafe boasts a toddler, pram and pooch-friendly courtyard with plenty of seating. There are well-loved toys for active kids to play with including some mobile toys to ride around on. The perfect venue for a catch up with friends when in the Inner West!
Jack B Nimble, Jack be quick, Mamma gives this cafe a REALLY big TICK! This is one of those cafes that ticks ALL of the boxes. Located in Maidstone in Melbourne’s West, you’ll be sure to find fantastic food, outdoor area with kids play space, the sweetest staff and great fit out. The back courtyard is spacious enough for a few prams and has a fake grass area with a few vehicle toys, blackboard and a shade cloth!
Welcome to Little Growling Cafe in Mambourin folks (near Wyndham Vale in Melbourne’s West), a wonderful cafe for kids (and Mamma!) There is lots of space, highchairs, outside dining and a bit of grass for toddlers to trundle over. Plus, it’s right by an ENORMOUS playground! What else do we need?!

Plus, the food at Innerbloom is amazing - everything from burgers to banh mi and pho - and really tasty too! The Duchess of Spotswood is a local favourite amongst us Westies - known for its well-loved back courtyard (with the awesome kids cubby and play area), fantastic food and warm atmosphere. The waffles are awesome and the service is excellent - making the Duchess of Spotswood a right royal treat fit for the family.

Lazat in Sunshine has been serving up a great deal of tasty Malaysian food for happy families for many years, and the playground is a great feature for fun dining in. Choose to sit right next to it or stay inside knowing they are safely enclosed. There is even a little water feature with a few fishies swimming around, which is great fun for the kids to try to spot!
Sit inside or out the front, and the kids can play in the fenced off area which also has TWO cubby houses and a huge sand pit or some sensory play. Everybody wins!

Meerkat Bistro has always been a fave spot to drop into before and after we do some animal adventures at Werribee Open Range Zoo.
Millars in Lara (on the way to Geelong in Melbourne’s West) has something for everyone - excellent food and coffee for Mamma, and a breakfast and lunch kids menu. The star attraction is the playground right next door - suitable for both the older kids and the little ones - which means Mamma can relax and watch the kids adventuring all within an arms reach.
The coffee here is an amazing drop, and the menu, kids menu and puppy menu features all your fave classic brekky and lunch options. The food is really amazing. And sweet treats are on offer too - like giant cookies and danishes. Oh, and the babycinos are incredible!
