the nook, sunbury
/Here at Mamma HQ we like to search every nook and cranny for the best bits of the west! We haven’t found the Cranny yet but here is The Nook!
The Nook will make you feel as if you’ve stopped to rest at a quaint country town. A 20 minute walk from the centre of Sunbury, it features Jacksons Creek waterhole and a beautiful, natural open space. There is plenty of nature play for the kiddos to enjoy here, like spotting wildlife (galahs, water birds, platypuses, even kangaroos!), rolling down hills, climbing trees, running through leaves and splashing in puddles along the rocky bank. There are endless opportunities for imaginative fun!
Bring some oats or birdseed to feed the ducks and geese (they’re watching their diet and bread makes them bloated)!
After that, you can rest on the lawn, take delight in a picnic or link up to the pram-friendly walking tracks that run along the creek and meander up hills.
Mamma’s special mentions: For a Galaxy not far, far away - head to Galaxyland Playspace!
