the balconies hike and reeds lookout, the grampians
/Mamma loves feeling on top of the world! And the VIEW from up here does not disappoint - is absolutely striking.
At Reeds Lookout, you can expect to enjoy almost 360 views over the Central Grampians. From there, you can access a 1km shady track to another lookout known as The Balconies.
This track is perfect for little legs, and it is also suitable for prams and wheelchairs as there are no stairs. The actual lookout bays are accessed by rocks, so the wheels will have to enjoy the view further back from the railings.
It is amazing up here, so peaceful and quiet! Mamma and the fam stayed for a long time looking out over the vast expanse of the valley below.
In Spring you can expect to enjoy a beautiful array of wildflowers, and in all seasons the kids will love spotting insects and maybe even a wallaby or two!
Mamma’s special mention: For more tracks suitable for small kids, check out Venus Baths. Or, for views that requires more adventurous hiking, make the 9km journey to The Pinnacle - Halls Gap’s most iconic hike.
