mopa - museum of play and art, geelong
/Wow. This is hands down the coolest place to hang out!
This interactive kids museum is FULL of amazement. Tom and Billie have travelled the world with their kiddos to get inspiration for this space, which is not only just fun for the kids but Mamma found herself having just as much fun!
There are really too many great points to mention in one small article, but highlights are the ‘Zoom Room’ with little cars and ramps, the ‘Performance Room’ where you can dress up and dance around on stage, the museum wall where you can turn yourself into a Picasso painting, the soft space for the little ones, the rainbow tunnel, the back ‘free play’ room….AND then there is outside where the kiddos can paint on a REAL car…or take a moment to laze away under the Golden Elm.
There is a cafe on site to get your caffeine fix and some food too. Plus they hope to be doing evening sessions with a food truck out the back at some stage. Plus some other exciting ideas for the outside!
Remember, you need to book in. You can stay for as long as you want, but it just means you can be sure it won’t be over crowded and you get to try everything.
They have thought of every detail here, it is beautiful, creative and so inspiring! Love it!
