WOW - this is a spectacular experience. 2 years in the making, this is a stunning journey suitable for the whole family. Be prepared as you are taken on a journey from the beginning of time and learn how gold was created right through history to the Eureka Stockade. The show launched earlier this year and we loved this totally immersive experience.
There are 3 elements to the journey, the first starts with a 3D movie. This is quickly followed by a pretty cool bus ride to an outdoor space where you will be treated to a visually amazing traditional aboriginal story. Using hundreds of projections this tale delves into the the creation story of Bunjil. It is absolutely stunning under the night sky over a shimmering lake.
Then you head into another ‘theatre’ of sorts to learn about how gold was discovered in Ballarat and the events that lead up to the Eureka Stockade battle. With explosions, fire, gun battles and more projections Gold really does change everything.
The technology used to bring this show to life is stunning. Everything looks so ‘real’. Mamma was a big fan of the Blood on the Southern Cross show and the updated show is well worth checking out.
