This stunning structure in the back streets of Newport is the Australian Islamic Centre. The mosque, designed by award winning architect Glenn Murcutt is the first the first truly contemporary mosque, and has taken into account the traditional requirements of whilst also trying to include modern day Australian influences.
The building is beautiful, designed to give an open and welcoming feel.
