little africa night market, footscray

This Saturday March 15 the Little Africa Night Market will light up Footscray for a night of culture, food, fashion and entertainment!

There will be a range of delicacies from food trucks and local food traders who will be extending their businesses into the street with stalls, including the ever-popular Amasya Kebab House, which will be serving up delicious Gözleme. PLUS, all food at the market will be halal.

Fashion lovers will also be treated to a unique showcase, as local clothing traders display their latest styles in the Connectivity Centre, highlighting African fashion and design.

And for the kids- there will be roving performances throughout the evening, with a special appearance from Gemma Giraffe and friends – giant puppets bringing a touch of magic to the event.

As many traders and community members celebrate Ramadan, the market provides a perfect opportunity for gift shopping, in line with cultural traditions.

Mayor, Cr Pradeep Tiwari said the event is a wonderful opportunity to bring people together and celebrate Footscray’s rich diversity.

“The Little Africa Night Market is more than just a market – it’s a celebration of community, culture, and connection. Events like this showcase the incredible diversity of Footscray while also supporting local businesses and creating a safer, more connected neighbourhood,” said Mayor Tiwari.

Don’t miss out on this unforgettable night of food, fashion, and fun in the heart of Footscray!
