Say Cheese is Footscray’s newest deli cafe specialising in subs and sangas. The Westie locals behind it have set up shop in a storefront inside Trocadero Arcade. Seek and ye shall find!

And what a find! This is a great spot if you are hungry and happen to not have a hankering for bánh mì or phở. Here you’ll find a selection of top quality cured meats and vegan meat, cheeses, salads and sauces jammed between delicious sourdough rolls, made fresh to order. They are tasty and seriously filling. At the moment, bottomless black coffee is available to order with some bench seating inside and crates in the alley - perfectly Footscray.

Mamma’s kids loved the Say Cheese Grilled (minus the chilli flakes and mustard) which is a rich blend of cheeses and honey, grilled to perfection. How extravagant! Mamma tucked into a deli and jamon sando - talk about yum! More sandwiches will soon join the menu including new vegan varieties. Whatever you choose, the flavours are bound to make you smile - so remember to Say Cheese!
