Finally, Mamma got down to the new storefront in Footscray of this now-iconic gelato joint. Delectable, decadent and velvety ice cream with wild Filipino flavours like coconut and pandan, purple yam, salted (fish sauce) caramel and toasted puffed rice and more, with specials every day too - like silken tofu soft serve. Yum!

They give big bangs of flavour - and it’s not gimmicky - this gelato is seriously good!

For those who shopped online like Mamma did when they were delivery-only, you will still find the Sari Sari collection at the shop, as well as other ice cream cakes for sale: like Buko Pandamington (a frozen lamington of pandan and coconut gelato studded with pandan jelly and sandwiched in chiffon cake) and an adults-only Kalamancypole - basically a frozen cocktail on a stick.

Cones, cups and buns are available in-store for 1, 2 or 3 scoops and you can personalise take-home tubs - mix and match your choice of flavours.

Mamma says be prepared to line up - especially if you hit up Kariton on a weekend! This parlour is actually a destination store - travellers from other parts of Melbourne and Australia are heading here to taste for themselves.
