Alright, this used to be a little juicy secret but it’s just not anymore. Houston’s Barbecue is the hottest joint in Melbourne if you are looking for authentic Texan BBQ. Think succulent, smoked meats stacked with spice rub and served with those all-American sides like mac and cheese, slaw, pickles, and more meat.

Brisket is King here, but Houston’s also has to-die-for pulled pork, fried chicken, smoked house-made sausage and burgers (on Thursdays only). This is sensational food, and it’s no wonder people sign up to the smoking school - you’ll want to learn how to make this at home too!

Houston’s serves up meals on Thursdays - Sundays until sold out. Mamma recommends pre-booking to collect your order, so you don’t end up disappointed. There are 3 tables out front (now with umbrellas) but you can’t reserve those. It’s first in best dressed, or you can take away.

Finish it off with American dessert classics like key lime or pecan pie. They are glorious!
