coracle cafe restaurant, yarraville

Coracle has just recently opened right in the heart of Yarraville Village and is serving up a delicious mix of traditional café fare and Asian Fusion dishes. Named after the round wicker fishing boats in Vietnam, the name pays homage to owners Benny (Chef) and Jane’s heritage.

Boasting an extensive menu showcasing an assortment of bold South East Asian flavours and the most impressive tea selection Mamma has ever seen, this café seriously breaks some new foodie ground for the West! You’ll be in gastronomic heaven as you taste the scrumptious Winter Bowl with its Thai style pumpkin soup and charred prawns, munch on the flavour explosion of the Very Berry Granola (Mamma had to fight off the kiddos for this one), devour every morsel of the Super Green Gyoza, slurp every last drop of the yummiest smoothies and finish off with the slow drip of Vietnamese Coffee if you have room.

This gorgeous light filled space with its sleek modern interiors is right next to the Yarraville railway line. Roomy and inviting, this is the perfect place for the family to indulge in ‘next level’ café food. The kiddies will delight in the presentation of the Kobayashi Dog, a Japanese style hotdog from the kids menu.

Mamma says wear stretchy pants if you want all the food

Mamma's special mention:  While you’re in the neighbourhood, pop down to the Pop Up park for a play, catch a flick at the Sun Theatre or buy the kiddies a book at the Younger Sun Bookshop.
