This area used to be an old reservoir water catchment and after months of building and anticipation (and $10.8 million dollars!) the gates are now open to the masses!

This phenomenal new play ground is more like a PLAYGROUND CITY than a reserve. Rightly so it has been billed as the best playground in Melbourne. It caters for all ages and abilities with awesome facilities such as; water pump, fountains and play incorporating the life cycle of frogs, two climbing ropes, a double flying fox and swings. There are lots of green spaces and shady areas for picnics and chillaxing.

The HUGE climbing frame is intricate and elaborate and when you reach the top you are met with a super slide like no other. You could spend an entire day here. Also, take a look at the features they have retained from the reservoir, the walls are now covered in bright artwork - Mamma says also keep an eye out for the indigenous cultural elements here too. and imporant tribute to the area.

There are also picnic shelters, barbeque facilities and some grasslands making it the ultimate community reserve. Mamma says dress the kids in some bright highly visible clothing too so they can easily be spotted at the top of the slide or behind a grassy tussock, there are LOTS of kids here as you can imagine and it can be easy to lose sight of your crew.
