redwood forest, warburton

Once upon a time, not so long ago Mamma ventured into a magical forest. There she found red riding hood, a mini king and a cute chicken-child attempting to lay an egg in her nest....You can't help but be in awe of this majestic place. Its a little surreal and Mamma swears you will feel like you have stepped into a fairytale....Over time elves or forest creatures have built large twig nests throughout the forest and there is a small hut that was clearly built by the trolls.  It IS secluded, so bring a friend or two, there are no facilities, just space to run and exercise the imagination.

Mamma's special mention: You need to do this magical place by foot - no prams will fit through the gate, plus you might feel like you are going in the wrong direction up Cement Creek Road. You are not. It is about a 1 km after the one lane bridge, along the dirt road and park outside the cement barrier.

the nitty gritty
