When Mamma’s little one insisted on learning to knit, we gave Cindy a call to see what we would need and, hooray - they have a great little beginners knitting kit that was perfect to start our yarning journey!

Kit consists of:-

Written instructions with photos
2 x yarn balls – Loyal Baby Print DK /8ply (choose from a selection of colours)
1 x pair – Clover Bamboo 23cm knitting needles of a suitable size for beginners (who usually knit tight).
1 x Yarning Place calico project bag to store and carry your work in progress.

Firstly - this Mamma is far from a knitting expert and Mamma won’t lie - teaching kids to knit can test your patience; BUT, it is a lovely activity to do together and let’s face it - now is a great time to bust out the needles!

Mamma’s kiddos are 7 and 10 and both managed to master a knit stitch with lots of Mamma take overs along the way.

Mamma’s special mentions: YouTube is your friend if you need some reminders on casting on and casting off! There are some great tutorials.
