Air Playground is a must see at Scienceworks this summer! It closes January 27 and Mamma says it has been one of our most favourite exhibitions. Air Playground is exactly that, an indoor playground full of fun activities all revolving around the wonderful world of air!

Bubblemania Show

Discover the wonder of bubbles in this free 20-minute amphitheatre show! You’ll be amazed at the beauty and complexity of these seemingly simple spheres. Fun for all ages, this show is the perfect blend of entertainment and science. Claim your front-row seat for this onsite spectacle, it’ll leave you bubbling with excitement! Suitable for all ages.
Museum of the Moon

This stunning art/science installation showcases our breathtaking Moon – four metres in diameter and featuring realistic details of the lunar surface. Gaze up at its wonders in the
Planetarium Foyer.
Bubble Wand Workshops ($)

What’s more fun than blowing bubbles? Making your very own bubble wand! Build your own bubble wand in this brand new 20-minute workshop from the team at Scienceworks. Here, we will learn how bubbles work and the best types of bubble wands for different types of bubbles before heading outside and using them ourselves! Your bubble wand will be the star of our bubble party

Mega Bubble Mondays

Join us on Mondays for a spectacular day of intermittent bubble play like no other. On Mega Bubble Mondays, we activate our arena space with bubbles, games, and activities of all sizes! Become a bubble expert through exciting bubble demonstrations that you have to see to believe. You’ll be bursting with excitement!

Thursday Family Nights
5:30PM TO 8:30PM | Planetarium Arena
Calling all families for an unforgettable evening! From 5:30pm to 8:30pm, enjoy a beautiful summer evening on our fresh grass arena. Children will enjoy oversized beach balls, bouncing bubbles, and inflatable games while adults relax in our lounge chairs sipping on refreshing ‘bubbles’. Throughout the night you are welcome to attend one of three specialty family-friendly Planetarium screenings which are sure to entertain and delight!
Foam Fridays
3PM TO 4PM | Arena
Make a splash with us at our very own foam party! Located outside in our grass arena area, we are throwing a one-of-a-kind one-hour foam party that will be sure to get you moving and shaking. With music blasting, our little ones will play and dance in this special foam activation!
