Cara King is a local artist and all round legend! She has illustrated countless children’s books and has taught art and cartoon drawing all across the west. Mamma loves her family portraits that capture the quirkiness and essence of the whole family including our beloved pets!
These are fantastic idea for Father’s Day, Christmas or for any reason!
The Process
Simply, email photos of your family to mail@caratoons.com
Photos don't need to a be as a group. Individual, clear photos are fine. (ie: no sunglasses or hats which make it hard to get a likeness). Each original portrait is then sketched in pencil then hand painted on 300 gsm high quality A4 watercolour hot press paper.
Illustrations generally take 2 to 3 days - but it's always dependent on workload. Let her know if yours is an urgent request and she will see what she can do for you.
Prices
Prices start from $70 for a family of four. Add $10 per extra person/animal.
