Renewed, expanded or just plain brand new, you might not have had a chance to get to some yet! Luckily, Mamma has compiled a list of the best new and upgraded playgrounds that opened in the west in the last year

Manor Lakes Boulevard Park is the PERFECT addition to the West - Mamma thinks it’s an absolute winner, and that you should check it out ASAP!
Wow, wow, wow - this park has everything… Mamma’s little one was so overwhelmed with excitement when she arrived, she didn’t know what to play with first!
Discover the ultimate family park at Bacchus Marsh Racecourse Recreation Reserve! This must-visit destination in Bacchus Marsh offers a massive playground tower, perfect for kids with climbing obstacles and huge slides. There's also a designated area for little ones with trampolines, seesaws, and more. Enjoy a large sandpit with water activities, musical instruments, flying foxes, and various swings. With BBQ facilities, ample seating, shade, water taps, and on-site toilets, Bacchus Marsh Racecourse Recreation Reserve is the perfect spot for a fun-filled day out.
The spacious playground on The Avenue is refurbished and ready to be played on! A full sized multi-court with basketball rings and futsal goals are a main attraction among some pretty great features.
Upgraded! Mamma’s little one absolutely loves this park, situated on Hobbs Street in Altona North - and she guarantees that your kids will love it too!
Mamma loves a colourful playground - and Everbloom Crescent Park is just that! This brand new park within the Unity Park estate is an awesome addition to the west. Centred around a coloured climbing tower, your little ones will have a blast playing in this amazing space.
Cross Keys playground in Strathmore has a rubber paved bicycle track with traffic signs and the cutest petrol pump that you’ll ever see! Make sure you bring their scooter or bike!
Next up - so many tactile and playful elements to encourage collective and imaginative play, including shop fronts (yes, a cafe AND a pet shop!) and interactive panels. Be prepared to order pretend babychinos for hours with your little ones!

This brand new play space includes a large grassed area and an awesome playground centred around a 10-metre-tall giant slide tower!
The playground features a rock climbing wall, balancing obstacles, swings, trampolines, climbing ropes, toddler equipment, and much more!
Centred around a huge rocket ship slide, your little ones will have the best time exploring this park. They’ll love climbing all the steps to the top of the rocket ship and then making their way down the super long slide all the way back to earth.
Times Square Park in Sanctuary Lakes has had an upgrade - and Mamma is here for it!
Opening SOON in Sunbury - the kids are going to love this very unique addition to the neighbourhood.
Monument Park in Plumpton is seriously monumental, your kids will not forget how awesome it is!
The feature of this park is two huge rocket towers that consist of slides and various climbing structures - think ladders, ropes, rock climbing walls and more!
A NEW skate park has opened at the wonderful Errington Reserve. It’s a super-dooper addition to the already fantastic play haven. Surrounded by an oval, the skate park joins a circle with a fenced playground, free tennis and basketball courts, BBQ area and community centre. It’s an amazing destination if you have a kid that just doesn’t stop and needs some variety to get worn out.
Banchory Green Reserve in Hillside has had an upgrade and Mamma LOVES it!
Mamma was so impressed with the new Nature Play Space in the Melton Botanic Gardens - you definitely need to check it out!
Mamma’s favourite part of the park was the cute scavenger hunt - your little ones can try and find 9 animal plaques featuring birds, insects and frogs hiding around the playground! So much fun!
Mamma’s little one (3 years old) was obsessed with the little treehouse and sand area with a digger and water play. Other areas for the little ones include musical chimes, an orbit carousel and a basket swing.
Conquest Drive in Werribee has had an overhaul and Mamma thinks you should add it to your list to of parks to check out!
