Mamma's special mentions:
International Women’s Day is on in full-force at the Point Cook Pop-Up Park!
Join us for a night of celebration of women both local and global with music performances by Ella Hooper, Dallas Frasca, Aggie & The Blue Velvet Band alongside hands-on workshops, the launch of a local women’s-led publication and the big beautiful Babushka inflatables!
We’ll kick off the event at 4pm with music sensation Ella Hooper on stage and a special International Women’s Day version of the Wynnies happening at the workshop tables for kids up to 12 years old.
From 5pm Dallas Frasca will take the stage and rock out. A DJ will be playing tunes from 6-7pm, at which point Aggie Gioftsidis will take the stage to perform iconic covers of women-led music.
It’s going to be a powerhouse event celebrating women in music, performance and art. During the event, be sure to check out the screens at the far end of the park to see the display of work made by local female artists and visit the workshop table to create a fat bottomed girl polymer clay bead with local artist Carolyn Warren-Langford.
And don’t forget your free tote-bag full of goodies!
