eastern beach, geelong
/Is this the best beach destination for kids? With a gorgeous FREE circular children’s swimming pool, numerous beach spots perfect for wading and sand castles, a great playground, grassy picnic spots, the promenade...seriously it doesn’t get much better! Mamma says Geelong’s Eastern Beach is a wonderful sunny day destination – midweek it can be a quiet place for you to relax and unwind with your pre-schooler and weekends you’ll find it teeming with kids of all ages diving and swimming in the protected waterfront with their families lounging and relaxing.
It has a gorgeous historical seaside feel to it too (it was created back in the 1930’s) – so leave all your city worries behind and go on a little holiday trip to Geelong.
Oh and be warned you will want to keep coming back to explore all along the shoreline. It is picture perfect.
*There is also the little Eastern Beach Train Tour that takes you on a 20 min trip up to the carousel, ferris wheel and back, and you can wave them down at any point ($9pp)
