ballarat botanic gardens, ballarat
/Mamma loves a good garden and this is one of our families favourite spots to picnic, play and chill out. It has everything you could imagine that a botanical garden has - shady trees, lush green grass, gorgeous plants, ponds, fountains, gazebos, fernery and more.
Mamma loves the fauna and beautiful statues hidden throughout the garden. Giant trees will dwarf you, (Prime Minister Avenue might too!) and then there’s the famous Conservatory - a magical, peaceful haven ready for daydreams of fairies and butterflies.
Oh and on Sundays in Autumn and Spring why not take a guided Sunday walk - no booking required - Sunday mornings at 11 am. It’s a general tour with an emphasis on the garden’s seasonal highlights at the time of the tour. No charge but donation is appreciated.
