Mamma loves this beach for a few reasons. Firstly, it's what Mamma calls a 'discovery beach' - which means it's a place to come for a bit of adventure and..discovery! Sure, you could have a paddle in the water on hot days but its not really a swimming beach. There are lots of shell treasures to collect, cute benches to watch the passing ships, and a picnic table - just made to eat fish and chips on. Oh and the beach shacks - some very cool old beach shacks (Mamma just LUURVES her old beach shacks). It feels remote - even though there are the shacks and the fishermen so bring a friend. The landscape is lovely - with its sand flats, rocky shore, the coastal spinifex, the colours at this time of year are really lovely (Spring/Summer). And all of that is what makes it an adventure. Oh and for the Mad Max enthusiasts - it's where they shot the ice cream scene...
