footscray library, footscray
/During lockdown, the librarians at Footscray got busy refurbishing the kids area. The large, fresh looking space has now got some low perspex book boxes, and lots of tables and chairs for little ones to grab a book and have a read.
This Westie library has a large selection of books, mags, DVDs and CDs. It also has a wide range of dual language picture books for kiddies - to foster the development of a mother tongue, or get exposure to a new one! Mamma says if it's a nice day - grab a book and head outdoors to the courtyard or simply slide into a spot in the indoors reading nook!
Rhymetime and Storytime has begun again for the first time since lockdown 1.0! A wonderful activity for the 0-5 age group.
Mamma's special mention: The library is a great resource for local info, so whilst you're there make sure you get the low-down on upcoming local community events.
